Lee Jae-sung (Mainz), now in his sixth year in Germany, started the opening match of the German Bundesliga but was unable to prevent his team from losing.

With three goals in the Mainz goal on the day, Behrens quickly moved to the top of the scoring charts. In second place are Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich), Jonas Wien (Wolfsburg) and Cesc Fabregas (Stuttgart) with two goals apiece.
Mainz’s next opponent is Eintracht Frankfurt. Mainz and Eintracht Frankfurt will meet in the second round at Mainz’s home stadium on April 27 at 10:30 pm. Eintracht Frankfurt is currently playing the first leg against Darmstadt on Nov. 21.
