The Hanwha Eagles dropped a three-game series over the weekend.

Hanwha fell 1-6 in game 11 of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against SSG Landers at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on Tuesday. The previous day, on the 29th, they lost 3-6 to finish the week with two straight losses.

Chances were certainly plentiful. In the top of the first inning, Lee Jin-young led off with a double to left field and Jung Eun-won followed with a double down the right field line.

With two outs, Noh Si-hwan flied out to center field, Chae Eun-sung struck out, and Kim Tae-yeon flied out to left field.

Han Seung-hyuk pitched a scoreless third inning before giving up the tying run to Park Sung-ho in the top of the fourth, but he closed out the game with four innings of one-run ball and gave way to Kim Bum-soo in the fifth.

Although Kim was tagged for three runs (two earned), Hanwha had plenty of chances to change the game.

In the fourth inning, the first batter, Noh Si-hwan, drew a walk and Chae Eun-sung followed with a hit by pitch. That put runners on first and second. But Kim Tae-yeon flied out to center field and Oh Sun-jin and Williams struck out.

There were chances in the seventh inning. After one out, Moon Hyun-bin singled to right and moved to second on a wild pitch by pitcher Ko Hyo-joon. After Lee struck out, Jung Eun-won and Noh Si-hwan drew walks. With the bases loaded, No. 4 hitter Chae Eun-sung struck out against reliever Moon Seung-won. 토토사이트

Despite failing to close the three-run gap, they had one more chance in the eighth inning. Kim In-hwan singled to right and Ha Joo-seok followed with a single to right. But Williams struck out, Park Sang-un flied out to center field, and Moon Hyun-bin hit a grounder to shortstop.
